ABBOTSWOOD UPDATES

NEWS FROM ABBOTSWOOD ACTION GROUP

Queen's Birthday Picnic Sunday 12 June

About 80 local residents attended Abbotswood Action Group's community picnic on Sunday 12 June to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. Threatening clouds drove the picnic indoors into the St Nicholas Family Centre, but the friendly and fun event was enjoyed by people of all ages. When the weather cleared the children enjoyed games outside in the Community Garden.

The picnic really brought the community together. The team worked really hard and produced a great event.

We've got lots more in store for the rest of the year, including the Abbotswood Autumn Apple Day in October, and a litter-based art project in a local school after the summer holidays.
